What I keep and why

01Who processes your data

02Which data

• Your name, address, phone number and email, to make the appointment and to reach you.
• The health information you share during the intake: complaints, medication, pregnancy, surgery and other points of attention.
• Your appointment history and payments.

Health data is a special category under the GDPR. I only ask for it because I need it to work safely, and I process it on the basis of your explicit consent.

03Why

To carry out the treatment safely and to measure, to manage appointments, to invoice and to meet my legal obligations.

04For how long

I keep contact and appointment data for as long as you are a client and for five years after that. Invoicing data is kept for seven years, as the law requires. Health data is deleted no later than five years after your last treatment, or sooner if you ask.

05Who sees it

Only me. Your data is not sold and not shared for commercial purposes. Only my accountant receives the invoicing data, because the law requires it.

For the website I work with Vercel, which hosts the site and processes the visitor statistics on my behalf.

06Your rights

You may view, correct or delete your data at any time, and withdraw your consent. Send a message to maud@bysereine.be.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.

07Cookies and visitor statistics

This website sets no cookies at all and stores nothing on your device. That is why you see no cookie banner here: one is only required when a site places or reads something on your device.

I do count how many people come by, using Vercel Web Analytics. This works without cookies and without profiles. For each visit only the time is kept, the page viewed, the site you arrived from, the country and city, and the kind of browser and device. Visitors are recognised by a code calculated from the request, which disappears after 24 hours. Identifying you or following you across other websites is therefore not possible.

I use those figures only to see which pages are read and where people come from. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is doing its job.

In addition, the server delivering the page keeps brief technical logs, including your IP address, in order to show and secure the site. They are not used to track or recognise you.
